| Objectives: | * | Provide opportunity for students to write two-chained number sentences to reach a target number. | |||||||

| * | Witzzle™ Pro Transparency Game Cards | ||||||||
| Directions: | 1. | Select a Witzzle Pro transparency card. Display it on the overhead projector. | |||||||
| 2. | Choose one row of three numbers in a straight line (diagonally, horizontally, or vertically). Ask students to solve this puzzle: | ||||||||

| Then translate the solution to two number sentences. Select operation symbols to make true equations. Every number can be used ONCE AND ONLY ONCE in every calculation. | |||||||||
| Example: |
For the diagonal set of numbers 5, 8, and 4, write these two number sentences: 5+4=9 and 9-8=1. |
