TM

1 3
4 5

Add, subtract, multiply and/or divide the numbers in the box to reach 3.  All four numbers must be used, but used only once in each calculation. You will have MORE THAN TEN WAYS to calculate 3 as the answer.  An example is given below.   How many more ways can you find to reach 3?

Example: 5 + 3 - 4 - 1 = 3

Solutions:

1 x 3 x (5-4) = 3
(4+5) x 1 ÷ 3 = 3
(1+4) x 3 ÷ 5 = 3
(5-1) x 3 ÷ 4 = 3
1 x 3 ÷ (5-4) = 3
3 x 4 ÷ (5-1) = 3
(5+3) ÷ 4 + 1 = 3
(3-1) x 4 - 5 = 3
( 5÷1-4 ) x 3 = 3
4 ÷ (5-3) + 1 = 3
